• Sign-in provider data: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile data (such as name and email) from that provider.
• Family profile data: Names or nicknames you add for family members.
• App content: Chores, rewards, points, progress, and related activity.
• Technical data: Device/app information, crash logs, and basic usage diagnostics.

We do not ask children to provide email addresses, phone numbers, or independent accounts.

2. Device Permissions

HabitHero may request:

• Notifications: For reminders and updates.
• Network access: To sync family data.

You can change permissions in your device settings at any time.

3. How We Use Data

We use your data to:

• Provide core app features: Including chores, rewards, and family syncing.
• Maintain account security: For login and account protection.
• Respond to support requests: When you contact us.
• Improve reliability: To diagnose issues and fix bugs.

4. How We Share Data

We do not sell personal data.

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (such as hosting, analytics, and crash monitoring), and only as needed for those services.

We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Children and Parent Controls

HabitHero is intended for family use with parent or guardian control.

• Parent-managed setup: A parent or guardian manages account setup and family profiles.
• No independent child accounts: Children do not create independent accounts.
• Parental controls: Parents can review, update, export, or delete family and child data in the app.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep data while your account is active.

You can delete your account and associated family data from the app (Settings > Data Controls), via the delete account page, or by contacting support.

After a valid deletion request, data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Access: Review your data.
• Correct: Update profile and content information.
• Export: Export your data where available in-app.
• Delete: Delete your account and associated data.
• Manage permissions: Control notifications through device settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
